Steelers to wear helmet decals to honor former assistant coach Darryl Drake

The Pittsburgh Steelers will pay tribute to former wide receivers coach Darryl Drake by wearing a helmet decal with DD on it this season. Drake passed away suddenly this week.

Pittsburgh wrapped up training camp on Friday and have returned to Pittsburgh for the remainder of the preseason. The Steelers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night and you can bet they will be a focused galvanized unit in their first game since Drake’s death.

The team has not announced a successor to Drake on the coaching staff but former Steelers assistant Ray Sherman was back coaching the wide receivers this week.
