Steelers to protect season tickets of some fans due to COVID-19

One of the biggest investments an NFL fan makes concerns whether or not to shell out big bucks for season tickets. During these uncertain times with COVID-19 and the upcoming NFL season, fans are left wondering how it will all play out. The Pittsburgh Steelers released the following statement on Monday indicating if you are compromised due to the COVID-19 pandemic, your season tickets will not be canceled for next season.

Here is the full statement from the team:

We are continuing to work directly with those season ticket holders on an individual basis who felt they are uniquely affected by the current situation. We established a process to review circumstances to ensure those who have concerns will be handled directly so their season tickets are protected for the 2021 season. We are not canceling those season ticket holders accounts who have been approved through our process. Their tickets are on hold for the 2020 season without penalty due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is great news for those fans who cannot risk attending Steelers games this season. We still don’t know what the gameday experience will look like but this is one less thing those season ticket holders will have to worry about.
