Steelers to interview Hank Fraley for offensive line coach opening

According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the Pittsburgh Steelers plan to interview current Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley for their opening as offensive line coach.

Fraley’s NFL career started in Pittsburgh when he was signed as an undrafted free agent back in 2000. The Steelers gave up on Fraley too soon and he ended up carving out a really nice career with the Eagles, Browns and Rams. As a player, Fraley started 123 games.

As a coach, Fraley has been in the NFL since 2012 with most recently being the offensive line coach for the Detroit Lions.

Pittsburgh chose to part ways with Shaun Sarrett at the end of the 2020 season. The Steelers need to dedicate significant time and resources to rebuilding the offensive line this offseason so getting a coach in who can maximize the young talent on the roster is a top priority.
