The Steelers added another wide receiver to what should be a strong group when they drafted JuJu Smith-Schuster of Southern California in the second round.
The pick comes days after wide receiver Martavis Bryant was reinstated by the NFL after serving a one-year suspension, and not long after the Steelers signed Antonio Brown to a five-year, $72.7 million contract.
Among other receivers in the group are Sammie Coates, Darius Heyward-Bey and Justin Hunter, whom they signed as a free agent.
Smith, who is 6-1, 215 pounds, runs a 4.54 in the 40. He was a second-team All-American last season when he caught 89 passes for 1,454 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Hall of Fame wide receiver Lynn Swann, the Steelers' first-round pick in 1974, is athletic director at Southern Cal, his alma mater.
