When you come to the Pittsburgh Steelers, you immediately become family. New Steeler Chase Claypool found this out just minutes after he was chosen by Pittsburgh in the second round. Claypool spoke to the media just after he was taken No. 49 overall and said quarterback Ben Roethlisberger called him almost immediately after Claypool spoke to the team and he got a text from fellow wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Claypool has an opportunity to be the missing piece of the puzzle for the Steelers offense. Watching him play is something of a throwback to guys like Martavis Bryant and Plaxico Burress and is the type of weapon Pittsburgh hasn’t looked at since the failed Ladarius Green experiment.
