Steelers snubbed as team to dethrone Patriots in AFC

The national media is all over the place when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Some writers have taken the offseason purge as a positive and counting on them coming back better than ever. Then you have NFL.com columnist Adam Schein. He put out his list of the nine teams he thinks can challenge the New England Patriots this season and didn’t include the Steelers on the list.

Here’s Schein’s list:

1. Kansas City Chiefs

2. Los Angeles Chargers

3. Dallas Cowboys

4. Los Angeles Rams

5. Philadelphia Eagles

6. Indianapolis Colts

7. Cleveland Browns

8. Green Bay Packers

9. Chicago Bears

Where would the Steelers fall on Schein’s list? It’s hard to say, but putting the Steelers behind teams like the Colts and Browns is troubling. Pittsburgh might have lost wide receiver Antonio Brown but the additions to the roster far outweigh the losses. I’m sure most of the players on the team will relish the notion of being the underdog and this will help them keep their focus on the upcoming season.
