Steelers sign WR Diontae Johnson to a 4-year contract

In just two days the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed five of their 2019 NFL draft class. One of the players the Steelers signed on Wednesday was wide receiver Diontae Johnson. The Steelers drafted the former Toledo star in the third round.

Johnson sounds like he’s ready to get to work and prove he was worth the pick.

I’m glad I’m with the Steelers and I’m ready to show them what I can bring to the table. They’re taking the chance on me and I just want to let them know they made the right decision. I’m going to give them all I got.

Johnson comes to the Steelers with some big shoes to fill. Johnson came to the Steelers in one of the picks acquired when Pittsburgh traded Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders. The coaching staff has gushed about Johnson and considering his style of play, the comparisons are going to come.
