We’ve known for weeks, February 22 would be the day we’d get some form of official update on the progress of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Here’s your update. The team shared the video above of Roethlisberger doing some light throwing in a gym, which is a great sign.
There’s been no official word on a timeline for Roethlisberger’s rehab and availability but this is a huge step in the right direction. Roethlisberger was lost for the season back in the second game of 2019 with the elbow injury that forced surgery and sent him to the IR.
Roethlisberger has contended all along he plans to make a full recovery for the start of the 2020 season and nothing we saw on Saturday should tell us otherwise.
