Steelers send LB Ulysees Gilbert III to IR, make other roster moves

Tuesday is always a busy day for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is typically when they begin to prep for the upcoming game and also make roster adjustments. This week is no different as the team made multiple moves, headlined by sending rookie linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III to injured/reserve.

To replace Gilbert on the 53-man roster for now, the Steelers have promoted linebacker Rober Spillane. This left an opening on the practice squad. Pittsburgh also released wide receiver Darrin Hall from the practice squad and filled the two openings with wide receiver Terry Eright and tight end Kevin Rader. None of these moves look to have any significant impact on the team.

The Steelers are now preparing to take on the Los Angeles Rams this weekend in their final game of three straight at home. Pittsburgh is currently 4-4 on the season.
