Steelers select WR Diontae Johnson in 3rd round of 2019 NFL draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers have shown they can take midround wide receivers and turn them into stars. It looks like they’ve taken on quite a challenge as they select Toledo wide receiver Diontae Johnson in the third round with the No. 66 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

Johnson was one of the most versatile players in college football players in the country last season. He’s undersized but speedy and had a significant impact as a receiver as well as a return man.

We will have plenty of time to speculate about what Johnson’s role will be with the Steelers and which of the similar players already on the roster he could replace. But for now we digest this pick and wait for the Steelers to make their second pick of the third round.
