Steelers select RB Benny Snell Jr. in the 4th round of the NFL draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers went back to the offensive side of the football in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft and got themselves a stud. Pittsburgh used their fourth-round pick on former Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr.

Snell is a player we have talked about extensively on here as a Steeler. He’s an ideal complement to James Conner with his low center of gravity and lateral quickness. Snell rushed for 1,449 yards last season as the focus of the Wildcats offense.

Pittsburgh will need to find a way to create a shared backfield with Conner Snell and Jaylen Samuels this season. The addition of Snell likely means the Steelers will not re-sign Stevan Ridley or pursue any veterans after the draft.
