Steelers RB James Conner lands at No. 62 in NFL Network Top 100

Last season was huge for Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner. Despite spending the bulk of the season looking over his shoulder for Le’Veon Bell, Conner took control of the run game in Pittsburgh and had a breakout year.

In only 13 games Conner rushed for 973 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns as well as caught 55 passes for 497 yards and another score. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry and nine cards to catch and proved the Steelers didn’t need Bell to be effective.

Conner’s effort was rewarded when his name was announced as the No. 62 player overall in the NFL Network Top 100 players of 2019 as voted on by the players.

Conner is the third Steeler to make the list. Linebacker T.J. Watt checked in at No. 93 and defensive tackle Cam Heyward slipped to No. 84 this time around. Who will the next Steeler be to make the list?
