Steelers RB Benny Snell Jr. clear of drug charges for now

Back in August, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. was pulled over for a traffic stop in Ohio where he was found with a small amount of marijuana and admitted to having smoked less than an hour before the stop.  According to Steelers reporter Tom Davidson, the charges against Snell have been withdrawn.

However, this doesn’t automatically get Snell off the hook with the NFL. His arrest and omission could find him in violation of the league’s code of conduct. Could this end in a suspension for Snell? With the NFL anything is possible.

Snell is currently the Steelers No. 3 running back and has finally started to get some reps due to injuries. He suffered a knee injury on Monday night against the Miami Dolphins. On the season, Snell has 28 carries for 118 rushing yards.
