Steelers QB Mason Rudolph says he can’t remember his big hit

It’s amazing to think Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph is healthy and ready to play this week against the Miami Dolphins. Rudolph took a nasty hit from Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas has sent him straight into the concussion protocol. The hit was big enough that Rudolph admitted he didn’t even remember the play.

The play itself drew a flag and Thomas was later fined for the hit. It might not have been done with an intent to hurt Rudolph but there’s little doubt Thomas’ hit was not legal.

Rudolph missed one start while he recovered from his concussion but was back at practice almost immediately while he worked through the concussion protocol. If the Steelers want to turn their season around, Rudolph is going to have to do much more than simply be a game manager.
