Steelers QB Mason Rudolph out of concussion protocol

Despite taking a huge hit less than a week ago, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph is back healthy and will be ready to roll after the bye week. The team announced on Wednesday Rudolph passed his independent evaluation and is no longer in the league’s concussion protocol.

This means when the team returns to practice next week and prepare for the Miami Dolphins, Rudolph will be a full participant. Pittsburgh won last week with rookie Devlin Hodges under center but make no mistake, Rudolph gives the Steelers a much better chance longterm if Pittsburgh wants to turn the season around.
