Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger OUT for Week 10 vs. Lions with COVID-19

Sunday’s matchup between the Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers just got a lot more interesting. Per Steelers PR Director Burt Lauten, starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will miss Sunday’s game against the Lions after testing positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

It’s a big bump for the winless Lions, who are seeking their first victory in almost a full calendar year. Dwayne Haskins and Mason Rudolph are the Steelers backup QBs.

Behind a resurgent Roethlisberger, the Steelers have won four games in a row after starting the season 1-3. Pittsburgh will also be without wide receiver Chase Claypool, who was ruled out in the week’s final injury report.
