Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger on the upcoming season: ‘We are all about each other’

In what had to come as something of a surprise to the Pittsburgh Steelers, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reported to voluntary workouts as part of the first phase of offseason workouts. This is a time dedicated solely to rehabilitation and conditioning, so it isn’t often you see the team’s stars in the building so early.

When asked about his early arrival and what it means to the Steelers, Roethlisberger was clear this team has a new focus and reinforced the notion that things are different with this 2019 version of the squad. According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, Roethlisberger wants to set an example with his appearance.

For all the storms this team had to weather over the past two seasons, it’s great to see its leader come out on the other side ready to go. No matter who isn’t on the team, the goal of winning the Super Bowl remains. Look for a more focused Pittsburgh team in 2019.
