Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger offers strong indication he’s retiring

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger offered up the first concrete information on Thursday that he is planning to retire at the end of the season.

Roethlisberger spoke to the media and indicated all signs are pointing to this Monday’s game against the Cleveland Browns will be his final game at Heinz Field.

There has been speculation most of the season that Roethlisberger would not be returning but this is the first time we’ve actually heard it from Roethlisberger. Big Ben also joked that after he retires he wouldn’t come out if the Steelers called needing help.

Roethlisberger said he doesn’t speak in guarantees or definites but he seemed upbeat about it and still hasn’t ruled out the team making the playoffs this season.
