Steelers plan on a Ben Roethlisberger return in 2020

It’s barely been 24 hours since the Pittsburgh Steelers put quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on IR but the team is already talking about his return. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media on Tuesday and indicated Roethlisberger is optimistic he will return and the Steelers are also hopeful the nature of Roethlisberger’s injury will mean he should be back and as good as ever for next season.

“He fully intends to come back from his injury,” Tomlin said. “And everything we’ve heard, we’re comfortable that’s a strong possibility.”

The Steelers currently have an exceptional young core of players. It would be great to see the team get through this season and let this young group of players continue to grow and develop, then see them all come back the following season and have their future Hall of Fame quarterback come back better than ever.

But in the meantime, everyone, fans, players coaches, everyone must rally all their support for Mason Rudolph because he could very well be the future of this franchise.
