Steelers place Stephon Tuitt on IR, sign L.T. Walton

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Tuesday they were placing defensive end Stephon Tuitt on injured/reserve after he tore his pec in last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. To replace Tuitt, the team accounced they were adding defensive end L.T. Walton to the roster.

Walton was the Steelers fifth-round pick in 2015. He spent three seasons with the Steelers before signing with the Buffalo Bills during the 2019 offseason. The Bills released Walton in August but he now finds himself back with the Steelers to replace Tuitt.

The Steelers currently have Dan McCullers and Isaiah Buggs as the primary backups along the defensive line but Walton could see reps right away when the team comes off their bye week.
