We knew when word came down that the Steelers were going to sign wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud that there would be a corresponding roster move.
On Friday, the Steelers made that move with the release of wide receiver Saeed Blacknall.
Expect McCloud’s 2020 contributions to be on special teams as kick/punt returner; still, with the wide receiver designation, the Steelers have a big decision to make to trim their receiver corp before the season kicks off.
In his time with the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers, McCloud notched 14 punt returns for 102 yards and nine kickoff returns for 192 yards.
