Steelers offense continues to struggle as Pittsburgh trails at halftime

The Cincinnati Bengals are 0-10. Let that sink in a minute. But regardless of the record, the Bengals have found a way to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers 7-3 at halftime. And once again it is an anemic offense letting the team down.

Injuries have torn this offensive roster apart. Without running back James Conner and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, the offense is minus its two most consistent weapons. This has proven to be a disaster for quarterback Mason Rudolph who continues to struggle.

Rudolph has only 85 passing yards at halftime. His inability of move in the pocket or even be aware of the pass rush has made it almost impossible to sustain drives. Even when Rudolph isn’t under pressure his throws have been off the mark.

The Steelers defense is doing its best to try to keep the game close. However, if the offense can’t pick things up and put together a couple of scoring drives, Cincinnati might get its first win of the season.
