Steelers OC picked the grossest way to describe his wide receivers

Look, I think I get what Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner is trying to say here about a talented wide receivers group that includes Diontae Johnson, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool.

But, er, maybe he wants to use some different phrasing here?

On Friday, he was speaking with reporters and said that “in the beginning years, they’re like a fart in a skillet. They’re just bouncing around everywhere, it’s like popcorn. You don’t know where they’re going to be.”

Huh? When is that being put into a skillet?

The part I do get is the way the Steelers receivers bounce around during plays. Johnson might be running a slant, Claypool could dart out, or be used in a reverse … they’re just all over the place and Ben Roethlisberger (who is not an MVP candidate) takes a couple of steps and delivers the ball before defenses know what’s going on.

But that phrase? New one on me.
