Steelers OC Matt Canada admits offense isn’t built to come back

Maybe Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada shouldn’t say the quiet parts out loud. Just before halftime in the Steelers game against the Houston Texans, the television broadcast team offered up a little sound byte that can only make fans feel worse about Canada and this offense.

Canada admitted to the announcers in a conversation ahead of the game that the Steelers offense isn’t really back from a deficit. I guess that means trailing the Texans 16-0 at halftime qualifies as a deficit so what should we expect from Pittsburgh in the second half?

The Texans outgained the Steelers 271-53 in the first half and the Steelers offense has 35 passing yards. The offense got four first downs and was 2-for-6 on third down. Yep, none of that sounds like an offense built to come back from being down big.
