Steelers LB T.J. Watt ties single-season sack record

Late in the first quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers showdown with the Baltimore Ravens, Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt tied Michael Strahan with 22.5 sacks in a season on a sack of Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley.

Watt had 1.5 sacks negated earlier in the first half. Early in the game, Watt had what appeared to get a strip-sack of Huntley where Pittsburgh got the ball on a fumble. The league determined Huntley was a runner not a passer at the time so he didn’t get credit for it.

Then just one play before the record-tying sack, Watt got in with Cam Heyward for a half-sack on Huntley that was negated by a penalty on Heyward.
