The Pittsburgh Steelers might have themselves a secret weapon on defense this season. Last year Pittsburgh signed edge rusher Ola Adeniyi as a UDFA after a solid career at Toledo. Adeniyi had 8.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss in his final college season and really showed an excellent speed rush off the edge.
But heading into his second season he’s working on rounding out his game and seizing what is a perfect opportunity to make the roster.
As it stands now, Adeniyi is the team’s No. 4 outside linebacker. But with the struggles Bud Dupree has had and the limited pass-rush potential of Anthony Chickillo, Adeniyi has a shot to be the next great UDFA turned Steelers star.
