The remarkable rookie season of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush got some league-wide recognition this week. Following his performance against the Los Angeles Chargers where he got five tackles, two takeaways and scored a touchdown he’s been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
On the season, Bush has 52 tackles in six games (32 solo), 2 interceptions, one sack and has recovered four fumbles. Every week Bush proved the big trade up to get him was worth it.
The Steelers traded up to the No. 10 pick in the 2019 NFL draft to take Bush in hopes of replacing the production and athleticism of Ryan Shazier. So for the results are overwhelmingly positive as he continues to step his game up week after week.
