Steelers LB Devin Bush disappointed he got ‘shrugged off’ for first time in career

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush had another great performance on Sunday night. The rookie racked up seven more tackles, had an interception and scooped up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. If Bush hasn’t been the best defensive rookie of 2019 so far, I’d like to know who is.

But in his postgame press conference, Bush shared an interesting tidbit about himself in terms of the biggest surprise for him so far. Bush claimed that Sunday night was the first time he’d been shrugged off in his entire football career. In fact, Bush missed several tackles in the second half where he seemed to be extending his arms but wasn’t trying to finish with his body, which is his usual style.

I’m not sure how valid Bush’s claim is, but nevertheless, he had another inspired performance. You have to think with a bye week to get his legs fresh again, we are in for some huge performances down the stretch.
