Steelers LB Devin Bush critical of preseason performance.

Anyone who watched Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Devin Bush on Friday night came away with a really strong first impression of his skills at the NFL level. Everyone except Bush, that is. He was humble after the team’s 30-28 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was more concerned about the plays the missed than the ones he made.

Bush played right at one half of football on Friday and finished with 10 total tackles including seven solos. He broke up one pass that could have easily been an interception and was solid in coverage on a couple of other plays.

The Steelers traded up in the first round of the 2019 draft to get Bush and pressure is high for him to be the replacement for Ryan Shazier. Early returns are good and we are really looking forward to seeing how Bush progresses as the preseason goes on.
