Last week there were several members of the Pittsburgh Steelers defense who had elite performances against the Los Angeles Rams. But none stood out quite like that of linebacker Bud Dupree. No, that isn’t a misprint. Bud Dupree was the best defender on the field on Sunday.
His performance was good enough the league recognized him as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. Dupree had two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. But it was his huge third-down run stop late in the game to seal the win for the Steelers. Dupree is staring down free agency and a big payday and he is definitely playing like it.
