Good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers and linebacker Anthony Chickillo. The team announced on Thursday Chickillo was removed from the commissioner exempt list and can now re-join the team. Steelers writer Joe Rutter is reporting the team has released linebacker Jayrone Elliott in order to make room for Chickillo.
Hopefully, the return of Chickillo will allow Bud Dupree and T.J. Watt to get a lighter workload. Chickillos’ presence is especially important this week since the Indianapolis Colts are a power run team and Chickillo’s strongest skill is as a run defender.
