Steelers land offensive line anchor, pass on QB in new mock draft

Are we seeing the beginning of the end for Ben Roethlisberger? The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback will enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame at his first opportunity after retirement but the Steelers must go on with life. So should the 2021 NFL draft be where the Steelers target his replacement?

Not according to Yahoo Sports. They put out a new one-round mock draft and they have the Steelers passing on Florida quarterback Kyle Trask and instead opted for Alabama interior offensive lineman Landon Dickerson.

They are absolutely right that this is a Steelers pick. He could be an anchor on the offensive line for a decade and no one would bat an eye. Whether he plugs in at center or guard, Dickerson will make a lot of Pro Bowls.

But is he worth passing on Trask, who has franchise-quarterback potential? I want to put out the question to you. If the first round plays out like this, would you rather see the Steelers take a chance on Roethlisberger’s replacement or keep the pick safe?
