Even when the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t among the NFL elite, the league understands the fan base. This is why every season the Steelers typically are among the leaders in prime-time games. 2022 is no different as the regular-season schedule came out on Thursday night and the Steelers will play night games a max of five times.
Here is the Steelers’ slate of prime time showdowns:
- Week 3 @ Cleveland Browns (Thursday)
- Week 7 @ Miami Dolphins (Sunday)
- Week 11 vs Cincinnati Bengals (Sunday)
- Week 12 @ Indianapolis Colts (Monday)
- Week 16 vs Las Vegas Raiders (Saturday)
Looking at those five games, given the strong history of the Steelers in prime-time games, 4-1 doesn’t seem out of the question at all. It will all depend on what happens with the Steelers at quarterback this season. Much of why Pittsburgh was so good in these big games was because quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was so good in them.
