When you are typically one of the best teams in the NFL, not to mention a team with a massive fanbase, you land plenty of prime-time games. This is the position the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in once again with five more on their 2019 schedule including three on the road.
Week 1 at New England Patriots
Week 4 vs Cincinnati Bengals
Week 6 at Los Angeles Chargers
Week 8 vs Miami Dolphins
Week 11 at Cleveland Browns
NFL schedule makers did the Steelers no favors out of the gate. It isn’t enough to have to seemingly play the New England Patriots every season but you compound it by putting the game on the road and in prime time, there can be no slow starts this season.
I have to admit a couple of these games are curious. Giving the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins prime-time games is more about the number of eyes the Steelers will draw than anything else.
The other three night games on the schedule are huge. Last season’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers was one of the most exciting games of the season coming down to the wire with the Steelers coming up short 33-30.
