Steelers injury update: Multiple starters couldn’t finish vs Chargers

Another game means more injuries for the Pittsburgh Steelers. As exciting as their 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers was, you hate to see injuries. And unfortunately, Pittsburgh had another handful on Sunday night. Head coach Mike Tomlin noted four injuries to starters that kept players out of the game for significant portions of the win.

Here’s the list Tomlin gave after the game.

RB James Conner (thigh)

DL Stephon Tuitt (pec)

LB T.J. Watt (oblique)

CB Joe Haden (groin)

The bye week cannot come at a better time for the Steelers. The extra week off will give all these guys and those on the injury report this week some extended time to get healthy before the final 10 games of the season. This includes quarterback Mason Rudolph who missed Sunday’s game with a concussion.

With the bye week, we might not get injury updates as promptly, but as soon as we know the status of these guys along with any other injuries that could pop up, we will let everyone know.
