Steelers HC Mike Tomlin says he isn’t looking back on Bell/Brown situation

Like it or not, the legacies of Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown are going to follow the Pittsburgh Steelers around. It probably won’t last beyond this season but for now the comparisons and questions will come. This is especially true for head coach Mike Tomlin who once again had to talk about the pair according to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler.

In the big picture, there is a lesson Tomlin can learn from what happened with Bell and in particular Brown I have no doubt Tomlin isn’t spending much energy wondering about how the pair are doing on their new teams. And while I am confident Brown and Bell is keep an eye on how his former team is doing, they’ve both moved onto greener pastures.

But what Tomlin can take away from all this and something he should remain conscious of is how star players are treated by the team. There might not be an ego on the roster right now like the two just jettisoned but you can bet it will happen at some point. Tomlin might not be looking back but he needs to learn from history so he doesn’t repeat it.
