Steelers HC Mike Tomlin on the broken cart: ‘I don’t drive carts and things of that nature’

If you’ve seen one Mike Tomlin press conference after a loss you’ve seen them all. The Pittsburgh Steelers head coach can spend minutes talking and really not say anything at all. Sunday’s press conference after the team’s heartbreaking loss to the Baltimore Ravens was more of the same.

But Tomlin did have one moment we felt like we had to mention. One of the most unusual moments from the game was after quarterback Mason Rudolph went down with a concussion. The staff brought out a cart to get Rudolph off the field. Unfortunately while the cart drove out there fine, it wouldn’t start to take him back, forcing Rudolph to try to walk off.

Tomlin was asked about what he knew about what happened and Tomlin fired back like he knew the question was coming. “Ask somebody that’s in charge of that,” Tomlin said. “I don’t drive carts and things of that nature.”

It’s important to note those carts and the staff who use them are employees of the NFL and not the Steelers. Nevertheless, even if Tomlin didn’t know the particulars about it at his press conference we hope he looks into it this week.
