Steelers HC Mike Tomlin makes it clear there are no moral victories

It was clear after the Pittsburgh Steelers 26-23 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Mike Tomlin was in no mood to sugar coat anything. This isn’t terribly uncommon any week but after a loss like this one, fishing for compliments isn’t going to fly.

One reporter found this out the hard way as he attempted to coax some positive words out of Tomlin about the inspired effort by the Steelers defense.

The reporter prefaced his question by reminding everyone Tomlin doesn’t believe in moral victories. Tomlin got loud when he fired back twice to cut him off, “you’re right I don’t” to make sure he didn’t finish.

While I get the sentiment from Tomlin and I understand he’s upset, it’s not the end of the world to acknowledge a good performance in a loss. But we know this isn’t Tomlin’s way. But at 1-4 it might be time to make some changes.
