Steelers HC Mike Tomlin hints at no changes to QB depth chart

It looks like the Pittsburgh Steelers will go into their Sunday night game against the Los Angeles Chargers with the quarterbacks currently on the roster. Head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media on Tuesday and indicated he was comfortable with the current batch of quarterbacks the Steelers have in the building.

This means Devlin Hodges will likely get the start on Sunday and his backup will be Paxton Lynch. Lynch is currently on the practice squad but look for a move Tuesday or Wednesday to get him on the 53-man roster.

The situation is compounded with the news the team’s emergency quarterback, running back Jaylen Samuels is out for a month after knee surgery. Pittsburgh will have to sort out which position player will fill in should the injury bug bite again this week.
