One of the goals of the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason was to cleanse the roster of drama and get back to football. This philosophy extended to the NFL draft on Thursday when the Steelers traded up 10 spots to draft inside linebacker Devin Bush.
General manager Kevin Colbert spoke about the pick and didn’t hesitate to emphasize it was not just that Bush is a great football player but a quality young man as well, which figured into the decision to make a big move up to get him.
The Steelers are banking on Bush not only being perhaps the final piece of the defensive puzzle but adding yet another high-character guy on the roster who can represent this team well.
