Steelers get players on both sides of line on PFF All-Rookie teams

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been forced to rely heavily on several of their 2020 NFL draft class. And for the most part, this group has delivered. Injuries have cut into the Steelers roster fairly deep this season and thankfully there have been some young guys ready to accept the increased role.

Offensive guard Kevin Dotson and edge defender Alex Highsmith both made the Pro Football Focus rookie team based on their mid and late-season performances subbing in for established starter.

For Dotson, he has all the makings of a star in this league. He stepped into the starting lineup for Matt Feiler when he went down with injury and showed continued improvement every week.

On the other side of the football, Highsmith got the toughest job of all filling in for Bud Dupree after he tore his ACL. On the season Highsmith only has two sacks but really stepped up in a starting role the last three weeks.
