The Pittsburgh Steelers needed help at tight end and it sounds like they are about to get it. ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter is reporting the Steelers and Seattle Seahawks are putting the final touches on a trade to send tight end Nick Vannett to the Steelers.
Vannett is entering his fourth season in the NFL out of Ohio State. Seattle used their third-round pick on Vannett but he hasn’t really turned into the offensive weapon they had hoped. According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are trading a fifth-round pick in 2020, which could be the choice the Steelers got from Jacksonville in the Joshua Dobbs trade.
Vannett has 48 career receptions but only four in 2019.
