Steelers fans too fast to bury QB Ben Roethlisberger

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered an elbow injury in the first half of their loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. He will have an MRI on his elbow to determine the extent of the injury, but we are hopeful this isn’t an injury that will keep Roethlisberger out for long.

But this isn’t the opinion of many Steelers fans on social media. We have to admit we were shocked when these types of tweets started popping up after Mason Rudolph came in and played well in place of Big Ben. Keep in mind the Steelers lost to the Seahawks 28-26.

Are these really Steelers fans or just folks trolling because they don’t like Roethlisberger? Either way, wishing an injury to be career-ending is bad form regardless. Roethlisberger has two Super Bowl championships and is a first-ballot Hall of Famer when he retires. He is coming off the best statistical season of his career. The idea fans wouldn’t want him back to salvage this season is asinine. Do better, Steelers fans.
