Steelers deny any knowledge of allegations against Antonio Brown

In the wake of recent allegations against wide receiver Antonio Brown, the Pittsburgh Steelers have released a statement. Brown has had a lawsuit brought against him accusing Brown of sexually assaulting and raping a former trainer.

The statement came via Steelers PR executive Burt Lauten.

The Steelers organization did not have any knowledge of the alleged incidents involving Antonio Brown prior to yesterday. If requested, the Steelers organization will cooperate in any related investigation.

The reason for this statement is because the timeline of events according to the accuser would have happened while Brown was still with the Steelers. The Steelers traded Brown to the Oakland Raiders this offseason but Oakland released him after more problems. Brown is currently under contract with the New England Patriots.
