Steelers defensive triplets snubbed by NFL Network

We’ve all heard about offensive triplets in the NFL, but in recent years, the idea of defensive triplets — meaning a defensive lineman, linebacker and defensive back — has gotten more and more popular as a measure for how good a defense is.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a very talented trio of their own with Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt and Joe Haden. But for NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks, they weren’t good enough to make the cut for his top five defensive triplets.

In fact, Brooks thought so little of the trio, he didn’t even include them in his list of honorable mentions that came after his top five. This is just another example of the media dismissing the talent on this roster after seeing how last season ended and the players who left this offseason.

Do you think the Steelers’ defensive triplets should be included in this list or are you OK with the team continuing to fly under the national radar heading into the season?
