Steelers currently hold 7 picks in the 2019 NFL draft

The 2019 NFL is going to be vital to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is a team in a state of serious transition with running back Le’Veon Bell preparing to sign elsewhere and the team likely to trade wide receiver Antonio Brown. Despite the fact Pittsburgh didn’t win a Super Bowl with Bell and Brown on the team, this doesn’t minimize how difficult it is to replace this level of talent.

Here are the Steelers’ picks as they stand right now.

Round 1 20th (20th Overall)

Round 2 20th (52nd Overall)

Round 3 20th (83rd Overall)

Round 4 20th (122nd Overall)

Round 6 2nd (175th Overall)*

Round 6 20th (192nd Overall)

Round 7 5th (219th Overall)**

*From Oakland **From Tampa Bay

Look for this list to change when the Steelers deal Brown. It isn’t clear what Brown’s value is on the market but considering how damaged the relationship is and how toxic Brown has made things, I have to think if a team offers a second-round pick, Pittsburgh will jump on it.

This would give the Steelers four picks in the first 83. This should give them an opportunity to not only bolster the defense but could also try to find Brown’s replacement.
