Steelers could be in the mix for FA center Ryan Jensen

All anyone wants to talk about are the quarterbacks of the Pittsburgh Steelers but how about a little offensive line speculation instead? According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, the Steelers are one of a handful of teams in the mix to sign free-agent center Ryan Jensen.

Jensen is heading into his ninth NFL season and is among the best centers in the league. He’s known for his physical style and a nasty streak, which the Steelers should be very familiar with. Jensen played his first four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and Jensen was always a guy who stood out when he was on the field.

Here’s what Graziano had to say about Jensen:

One player I expect to generate a lot of interest on the free-agent market is center Ryan Jensen, who has the attention of the Jets, Bengals, Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, among others. So many teams are looking for offensive line help, and Jensen is viewed as a nasty tone-setter who could help a line with his attitude and ability. If multiple teams are as interested as it sounds they could be, Jensen could be a hot commodity and rake in a nice payday. — Graziano

Graziano speculates Jensen could demand and get $15 million per year. Is this the kind of money Pittsburgh would give up? Adding Jensen would allow the Steelers to move Kendrick Green to guard and fully shore up the interior offensive line.
