Steelers continue to scout RB in pre-draft visits

Despite having James Conner and Jaylen Samuels, the Pittsburgh Steelers are dedicating considering time and resources to running backs for the upcoming NFL draft. Multiple sources including Bob Labriola and Jeremy Fowler are reporting the Steelers have three running backs in on Tuesday for pre-draft visits at the team’s facilities.

Last season, Stevan Ridley served as the team’s No. 3 running back but he is currently a free agent and Pittsburgh seems intent on moving forward without him. Conner became a star in his first year as a starter, earning a trip to the Pro Bowl.

All of these backs offer similar skill sets. They are all very close in size and triangle numbers as well. The four backs all have nice wiggle but aren’t afraid to finish runs with power. Of the three at the team’s complex today, Florida’s Jordan Scarlett probably has the most complete game.  However, Penn State’s Miles Sanders was a previous visitor and is probably the most talented of the entire group overall.

Do you view running back as a draft need or should the Steelers sign stick with the guys they already have?
