Steelers CB Steve Nelson tells it like it is about the Patriots

Well, mark us down as fans of new Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Steve Nelson. He did an interview on Fair Game on Fox Sports 1 and talked about how his season ended last year with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs lost to the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game. He was asked if he rooted for the Patriots in the Super Bowl after losing to them.

And his answer has to make Steelers’ fans everywhere smile. Watch the video clip below for the details.

Nelson was signed by the Steelers as a free agent, presumably to start opposite Joe Haden. Nelson started all 16 games last season and did well considering how poorly the Chiefs’ defense played as a whole.

Despite the Steelers signing Nelson, many believe they will still target a cornerback early in the NFL draft as an eventual replacement for Haden.
