Steelers’ B.J. Finney and Ryan Switzer attend UPMC prom

Every year, the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh hosts a prom for their young patients. These are kids who, because of their medical needs, cannot attend school, much less prom. It’s just one of the many amazing things the hospital does for the kids.

And this year the prom had a couple of very special attendees. Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman B.J. Finney and wide receiver Ryan Switzer came out to help the kids have a great time.

These sorts of good deeds come and go far too quietly for the Steelers and many other NFL teams. With so much emphasis on the drama and bad news of professional football players, a couple of good guys helping make a great night for some special kids can easily go unnoticed.
